US FIRST LEGO League: Fall 2011

Finger Lakes Region
FAME members once again contributed to the pipeline this past Fall by sponsoring the following six Finger Lakes US First LEGO League teams at the middle school level!
- Canandaigua Middle School, sponsored by Coach & Equipment and PGM Corp.
- Palmyra-Macedon CSD, sponsored by Unique Automation LLC
- Red Jacket Middle School (Manchester-Shortsville), sponsored by GW Lisk Co. and ITT Goulds Pumps
- Seneca Falls CSD, sponsored by Moser Baer Technologies and ITT Goulds Pumps
- Victor CSD, sponsored by Gorbel
- Wayne CSD (Ontario Elementary School), sponsored by Harbec Plastics, Optimax Systems Inc., and OptiPro Systems Inc.
This program specifically targets students ages 9-14, in grades 6 to 8, a critical age for exposure to the exciting careers available in Science and Technology fields. Of special note in 2010, the Wayne Central Screamin’ Eagles team won the 2010 Judges Award at the Pal-Mac qualifying tournament and then went on to compete at the U of R regional qualifier!
